Pet Food Testing is available at Midwest Laboratories.
Midwest Laboratories is setup to test pet food for melamine analysis, cyanuric
acid and nutritional analysis. Sue Ann Seitz, John Torpy and Seth Frishman can
work with you on your pet food testing needs.
Aflatoxin
Analysis
The aflatoxin
analysis is run using LC/MS. The aflatoxin screen includes designations for
aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2 and a summation. Normal turn-around time is 3-5
working days. This analysis can be run in addition to any of the above listed
packages.
Melamine
Analysis
The melamine
analysis is run using GC-NPD and offers a detection limit of 10 ppm. The analysis
requires approximately 3 working days to complete. This analysis can be run in
addition to any of the above packages.
Cyanuric
Acid Analysis
The cyanuric
acid analysis is run using LC/MS and offers a detection limit of 10 ppm.
Average turnaround is 3 working days with a required sample size of 25 grams.
This analysis can be run in addition to any of the above packages.
Melamine
and Cyanuric Acid
This package
includes both melamine run by GC-NPD and cyanuric acid run by LC/MS. Both
analyses offer a 10ppm detection limit and an average turnaround of 3 working
days. The analyses require a 25 gram sample size. This analysis can be run in
addition to any of the above packages.
